Inspired by the insidious syndrome of the same name, Korsakov is a personal research work on memory. An outlet in which its two members evacuate complex emotions that are difficult to express in simple words.
Anosognosia , in its conception and approach, is a very logical sequel to погружать (2021). Under this name (evoking this neuropsychological disorder in which a patient suffering from an illness does not seem to be aware of his condition), forty-two minutes are gathered where blast beats rub shoulders with electronic mid-tempos and screams mingle with melancholic melodies. Beyond obvious black metal influences , the duo also draws its inspiration from other musical trends (such as ambient or shoegaze ) but also from the Plastic Arts (such as Viennese actionism or the works of photographer Steve McCurry).
Korsakov is remembering a past that never existed, forgetting the present, guided by an invisible hand that manipulates us as it pleases.
