A staggering showcase of creativity, there are so many moments where this album will leave you stunned into silence, mouth agape.” (9/10)

– Games, Brrraaains & A Head-Banging Life

An ambitious and sweeping sort of album, a work of many layers and progressive exuberance.”

– Heavy Blog is Heavy

Keys to the Palace is a wonderful surprise. It’s the kind of album that begs to be listened to again as soon as the last notes have played.” (4/5)

– Metal Epidemic

Keys to the Palace continues Dessiderium‘s intricate fusion of black and death metal, atmospheric layers, and lush string arrangements, but moves into more optimistic and melodic territory than ever beforeGenuinely epic, progressive, and experimental music.”

– Everything is Noise

With its rich layers, emotional depth, and genre-defying creativity, Keys to the Palace is a triumph that deserves a place in every Metal fan’s collection.” (4/5)

– Metal Eclipse Reviews

If you like the idea of a prog death album with a traditional production sound that also spices things up with some non-traditional uses of piano and symphonic elements for the genre, I think you will have a great time with Keys To The Palace.”

– Metal Storm

A powerful, progressive death metal opus.”

– Metal Division Magazine

“It’s like having all of the parts of a motor to a muscle car on your garage floor, and meticulously putting them into the final product, and once installed, it runs like a dream.”

– Metal Temple

If you’ve ever wondered what Devin Townsend might sound like if he returned to his Strapping Young Lad past and even dabbled in prog-death territory, you should definitely give Keys To The Palace a try.”

Sole member and founder, Alex Haddad, shared his thoughts about Keys to the Palace: “This album was ten plus years in the making. A lot of the material here actually precedes that of the two previous releases. Completing this record means giving closure to this era of Dessiderium that has spanned across my twenties, and I see it as a well suited final chapter to this period. The two previous albums, Shadow Burn and Aria, provided no happy ending. They were both about defeat in their own way. Keys to the Palace reaches for triumph. This is an album about time travel that explores the polarity between past and future, innocence and disillusion, faith and despair, and adolescence and adulthood.”
