ÖVERVÅLD – Swedish Death-Metal Force Drop Ferocious New Video “Föruttnelse” via Decibel Magazine

Swedish death metal force Övervåld has just unleashed the video for their crushing new single “Föruttnelse” — now playing at Decibel Magazine!

Decibel hails the track as “HM-2 embalmed DM with some black metal cobwebs… with quite a Celtic Frost swing to it.” Shot in a blood-red, dungeon-like setting, the video matches the track’s primal, unrelenting energy—featuring the fierce Rebecca Holm on vocals, Joachim Lyngfelt on guitars, Alexander Cundell on bass, and Peter Engström on drums.

“Föruttnelse” is taken from Övervåld’s upcoming EP, Vigarv, a four-track barrage of misanthropic, HM-2-drenched death metal with razor-sharp blackened edges. Set for release on April 18th via CD/digital, with vinyl coming later via Seven Metal Inches Records, Vigarv marks a new chapter of sonic savagery for the band.

Named after an ancient Swedish term for “revenge,” Vigarv pushes the band’s intensity to new heights—vicious, razor-sharp, and unapologetically heavy. This EP captures Övervåld at their most primal, showcasing blistering riffs, crushing rhythms, and fierce vocals that embody the raw essence of death metal.

Fronted by the fierce Rebecca Holm, alongside Joachim Lyngfelt (Crawl, ex-Decomposed) and Peter Engström (ex-Setherial), Övervåld channels raw fury and despair into an EP that is as vicious as it is infectious. From the first note, you’ll be hit with blistering riffs, crushing rhythms, and vocals that cut through the mix like a war cry.
