KHNVM re-sign with Testimony Records

Testimony Records proudly announce that death metal stalwarts KHNVM have re-signed with the label. We gladly welcome the band based in Germany with roots in Bangladesh back to our deadly roster! KHNVM will release their fourth full-length via Testimony Records in 2025.

KHNVM are to be pronounced as: khaa-nooom.

For biographical information & all confirmed live dates, please see below.

KHNVM comment: “We are proud to reconnect with Testimony Records and to reignite the partnership that helped shape our early steps in the metal scene”, guitarist and vocalist Obliterator writes. “This reunion feels like a homecoming. It takes us back to where our journey began with the release of ‘Foretold Monuments of Flesh’ in 2019. Testimony Records have been a steadfast ally and a cornerstone of our story. Rejoining forces does not only mean reconnecting with our roots but also striding boldly forward towards new heights in the death metal realm. It’s a testament to our resilience, passion, and dedication to the craft. Our future is deeply personal, profoundly determined, and unflinchingly fierce.”

Testimony Records state: “We’re thrilled about the re-signing of KHNVM”, label manager Thomas Strater enthuses. “They already released their debut album on Testimony in the early days of the label. When I met mastermind Obliterator at the Party.San Open Air, we immediately bonded as death metal lunatics. KHNVM do not only stand for sepulchral death metal, but also for strength and dedication. Thus we’re diabolically delighted to welcome them back home.”

KHNVM are a death metal band that has walked the line between old school death metal and contemporary influences without stumbling. Fronted by Bangladeshi-born guitarist and vocalist Obliterator, the band was founded and is firmly based in Germany.

When KHNVM entered the scene with their debut album “Foretold Monuments of Flesh” on Testimony Records in 2019, they were immediately met with acclaim both from critics and fans alike. This head start on many of their emerging peers became a solid lead with their sophomore full-length “Portals to Oblivion” (2021). Occasional sonic influences and instrumentation from the Indian subcontinent that tell on the origins of mastermind Obliterator were used carefully and as an added spice rather than a simple gimmick.

In the wake of the second album, KHNVM began to perform live at first in their native Germany including established festivals such as In Flammen Open Air, Damned Days, and Metal Attack Fest among others. A year later, the trio began to take their crushing death metal steamroller abroad, starting with the “Heretic Ascension Over Brazil 2023” tour. Meanwhile, KHNVM have toured, entered stages at many festivals, and played headliner and support shows across Europe.

With their third release that some regard as a mini and others as a full-length album, “Visions of a Plague Ridden Sky” (2023), KHNVM cemented their status as one of the most interesting “new” death metal bands. On this record, Obliterator added two instrumental tracks that further explored his Eastern origins. His fascinating lyrics explored themes of life and death, the afterlife, human suffering, existentialism, and spirituality in a much welcome break from the standard gore lyrics of the genre.

KHNVM are preparing the release of their fourth album via the label in 2025.
