“”The Night Does Not End” is a breakneck pace ride through Old West carnage, “Blood Meridian”-style. The song tells a story of eternal war, nihilistic brutality and the damnation it eventually leads to, spiralling down to our protagonist’s final meeting with fate. It’s about the haunting power of violence and the ability it has to shatter a kinder image of who we think we are. Though a departure from our usually politically-charged theming, I wanted to ask new questions about human nature and whether we can truly overcome it. But it was also another chance for us just to write something challenging for all of us.” – Burner
Since their live debut in early 2022, Burner have rapidly ascended in the UK underground scene. Their impressive performance history includes a full UK tour supporting Employed to Serve in Spring 2022, multiple headline tours across the UK and Ireland, and notable festival appearances at Bloodstock, ArcTanGent, 2000Trees, and Incineration in 2024. They also supported UK metal heavyweights Sylosis during their April 2024 UK & Ireland tour, underscoring the significant impact Burner has made within the heavy music community.
The band’s debut LP, ‘It All Returns to Nothing,’ released in June 2023 via Church Road Records, received critical acclaim. The album was featured in Metal Hammer’s “50 Best Albums of 2023” and “10 Best Death Metal Albums of 2023,” and appeared on several other year-end lists, solidifying Burner’s reputation for crafting crushing extreme music.
In 2025, Burner continues to push creative boundaries with the release of a new single. “City 17” showcases the band’s ability to blend stomping, ferocious grooves with a matured and sinister atmosphere.
Burner seamlessly weaves elements of death metal, hardcore, and black metal into their sound, drawing diverse influences from bands like Trap Them, Darkest Hour, Gatecreeper, Converge, and Bolt Thrower.
To support the release of “The Night Does Not End,” Burner will embark on a UK tour in April, once again joining forces with Employed to Serve. Fans can anticipate a series of high-energy performances that reflect the band’s relentless drive and commitment to addressing pressing global issues through their music.
