Death metal band INSINERATEHYMN release their third full-length album, ‘IRREVERENCE OF THE DIVINE.’ The album pushes the band’s worship for the vintage sound of the late 80s & early 90s underground scene to new heights. The album’s blistering 40 minute runtime is tighter and more calculated than previous efforts; it regularly steps over the threshold into true berserker territory. Melodic but eerie solos that drift between a hellish atmosphere and a bottomless rhythm section serve to expand the band’s already punishing sound.
The Los Angeles band has managed to position themselves atop a mountain of rotten corpses in the American underground, all the while gaining respect from around the scene as a whole. The band seemed to hit a fever pitch with 2022’s ‘Disembodied’ full-length album but ‘IRREVERENCE OF THE DIVINE,’ will send their masterclass of putrid sewage boiling over to the next level.
Complemented by the cover art of Edgar Roldan, ‘IRREVERENCE OF THE DIVINE,’ is an unholy beast that incorporates the spiraling vortexes of angular beatdowns from the early days of the underground among the eerie dissonance of the modern scene.
