JORDSJUK – Grovt skadeverk
New single out May 9
Grovt skadeverk by Jordsjuk – a brutal taste of the upcoming debut album
Jordsjuk are set to release Grovt skadeverk, the second single from their upcoming debut album Naglet til livet, due in fall 2025. The track is a thrashy, rebellious outburst of aggression – an unapologetic anthem of unrest, destruction, and vandalism.
Jordsjuk is made up of seasoned musicians from the Norwegian metal underground, known from bands that have left a lasting mark on the scene. Together, they’ve forged a new beast with a single mission: to preserve the most uncompromising, riff-driven, and raw legacy of metal – and drag it into the present, fists first. Musically, Jordsjuk draws from the primal corners of black, death, thrash, and punk, fusing it into a sound oozing with contempt and violent energy.

Their debut EP Råtner på rot, released in 2024, was described by Dagsavisen as “one of the year’s hardest-hitting sensations.” With their first single Rennestein, mixed by Kurt Ballou (Converge) in God City Studios, and mastered by Brad Boatright (From Ashes Rise) at Audiosiege, the band quickly gained recognition as one of Norway’s most promising new extreme metal acts. The same technician duo returns on Grovt skadeverk.
“”Grovt skadeverk is the sound of vandalism and destruction. Our most thrash-driven song to date. Hungry, violent and ugly!” says the band.
Drums were recorded at PhatCat Studio in Rygge, while guitars, bass, and vocals were tracked at various locations in Oslo. The result is a sound boiling with tension and intensity – a blistering piece of modern extreme metal.
With Grovt skadeverk, Jordsjuk bares its teeth: raw, riff-fueled, and unrepentant. This is the sound of a rising Norwegian threat finding its full force.
Naglet til livet drops fall 2025. With a no-compromise approach to riff-driven metal and lyrics steeped in desperation and decay, the album sets the tone for the band’s path forward.
