DESERT NEAR THE END is a five-piece metal band from Athens, Greece, formed in 2010. Drawing influence from the great Power/Thrash bands of the 90s, they have evolved their sound into a unique blend of Power/Thrash metal infused with extreme elements from Death and Black Metal. They have released five full-length albums to date, including the critically acclaimed thematic trilogy A Crimson Dawn (2011), Hunt for the Sun (2014), and Theater of War (2016), followed by standalone concept albums Of Fire and Stars (2019) and The Dawning of the Son (2022).
