Inspired by revelations about aliens, UFOs and other astronomical phenomena, the Mexican band Mystification debuts with their first single titled ‘Declassified Truth’, which addresses the issue of declassifications by US agencies on extraterrestrial life and other secret projects that would show that we are not alone in the universe. The band perceives itself as a sonic journey into the unknown, questioning the structure of reality that has been established by entities that do not want to show us everything and hide many things from us that we should all know.
“We are not using fantasy. It is all information from the Pentagon, from ex-military personnel. All these things that happen in our cosmos have been a fascination since I was a child, when I watched documentaries on these topics with my grandfather,” says Adriana G. Puga, guitarist and founder of the band. For his part, the drummer and also a member since its genesis, Moritz González, adds that “the statements of David Grusch, an officer of the United States Air Force, before the Congress of his country in 2023, impacted us and gave us an enormous source of ideas for our creative concept.”
The quartet is completed by Osvaldo on bass and Sergio Arenas on vocals. During July of this year they made this recording at the URVN Studios in León, Guanajuato, under the production of Rubén Sánchez, who, with more than 14 years of experience working with metal bands, did an impeccable job to record the essence of Mystification in this single.
The band continues to work on the composition and recording of new material that will support future releases and the album planned for 2025 that will consolidate them as new protagonists of Brutal Death Metal with its powerful and dark sound.
