Italian metal veterans S.R.L. have just released through their Youtube Channel the video of their latest song “Le Idi di Marzo”.
The entire project was developed by S.R.L.’s guitarist Cristiano “Alcio” Alcini.
“Le Idi di Marzo” (The Ides of March), is a powerful, intense yet melodic track inspired by one of the most infamous betrayals in history. With razor-sharp guitar work, relentless rhythm sections, and evocative lyrics in Italian, the song explores the dramatic fall of Julius Caesar, by both the POVs of the victim and the conspirators, and it’s about the eternal themes of power, treachery, and fate. This is not just a song—it’s a journey through time, driven by the raw energy and unmistakable sound of S.R.L..
The video is dedicated to Alessio Menghini, S.R.L. band’s guitarist since the very first days to 2005, who recently passed away prematurely. Alessio was not only a tasteful musician, but also a true friend, a brother, and a fundamental part of our history and musical journey. His talent, his passion, and his spirit will forever be etched in the memory of everyone who knew him, both on and off the stage.
Stay tuned, S.R.L. fans — exciting updates are coming soon, and you won’t want to miss them!
About S.R.L.
S.R.L. was born in Italy back in 1992 and their monicker is the acronym for “Società a Responsabilità Limitata (Limited Liability Company)”. The deep meaning of the name is both how the society has a limited responsibility in the daily occurrences and a tribute to the great italian rock bands of the 70’s (PFM Premiata Forneria Marconi, BMS – Banco del Mutuo Soccorso, etc). Nowadays, their music style is a powerful and fast thrash/death metal with lyrics in Italian language talking about everyday’s life.
