New album, “Gorzkie Plony” (“Bitter Harvest”) to be released in September
The album is previewed by the single and video “Koniugacja” (“Conjugation”), featuring a poem by Halina Poświatowska and session drum-work by Anti-Christian (Doedsvangr, Beaten to Death, ex-Tsjuder).
Polish black metal/blackened progressive rock outfit Narrenwind is set to release their fifth full-length album, “Gorzkie Plony” (“Bitter Harvest”), this September. The album will see the band return to the esteemed Pagan Records roster, the label that released their first two records. Narrenwind’s last two albums were released via Ævil‘s Wheelwright Productions.

“Koniugacja” features a poem by Halina Poświatowska – a poet often associated with the so-called accursed poets. The track also includes session drums by Anti-Christian (Doedsvangr, Beaten to Death, ex-Tsjuder).
Narrenwind offered some insight into the track: “I will pass away, you will pass away. He will pass away, she will pass away. Let us pass away! Together with the accursed poets, the spirits of long-gone shadows, we are strolling among the ruins”.
No Clean Singing lauded “Koniugacja” upon its premiere, noting: “The vocals alone make a striking impact, but everything happening around the words is at least equally electrifying, in different ways. The drumming gallops and rumbles, spiked with exhilarating fills. The bass-lines feverishly throb. And the guitars rapidly skitter and burst, brazenly soar like glorious fire, and swirl like gleaming whirlpools”. The webzine further praised the track’s infectious nature and galvanising effects, stating, “whatever you call it, it’s damned good”.
The band described “Gorzkie Plony” as “a return to the spirit of our inaugural work”. The album was mixed and mastered by Haldor Grunberg at Satanic Audio. Further details regarding the album release and pre-order info will be announced soon.
