In their endless quest to push and support current underground acts that perpetuate the odor of vintage death metal, Memento Mori are extremely thrilled to announce a new signing: Plague Vessel, from Finland.
Plague Vessel was spawned in Helsinki, back in 2024. Their aim was to bring about excruciatingly heavy death metal, combining the astral components of Spectral Voice with the toxic, visceral slime of Autopsy, with the lyrical themes ranging from corporeal to celestial, from interstellar pests and gateways of torture to new lifeforms assembled from various parts of decaying bodies. Their debut EP, Human Waste Conglomerate, released in May 2025, delivered four awe-inspiring songs of pure, putrefied death metal.
The band is already working on the debut album, which will see them setting course toward the constellation of bands like Rippikoulu and Asphyx, but veering away from the obvious, in order to explore their own path to unimaginable terrors. The album will invoke tales of decaying flesh, cannibalistic rituals, and human misery, but in a cosmic backdrop. There is no safe place in the plagued universe. Even death brings no solace, but endless torture.
Memento Mori will unleash the CD version of their debut full-length in 2026. Further details to follow in the coming months. For more info, consult the links below.
