Hungarian project SíR returns with its second full-length, Unreachable Mountain, a cold and immersive journey inspired by the metaphor of a beautiful yet unattainable peak — a symbol of longing and dreams forever out of reach. Compared to the 2023 debut Your Star Will Collapse, this album is darker, slower, and more unified, shedding the bluesy tones for a deep gothic vocal presence and suffocating atmosphere.
Four long tracks carry the listener through heavy doom, blackened edges, and moments of post-rock openness, demanding patience and focus for their full impact.
