“Heavy music” is the descriptive uttered and quite palpable in the band Lyken21; a New Jersey-based band and Sliptrick’s first new signing of 2019. Initially collaborating with White Zombie’s drummer Ivan DePrume, lead singer Marton Miklos was compelled to steer the sounds of the project towards the thresholds of the Hard Rock and Heavy Metal genres. Openness, determination and meticulousness have laid the foundation of an eclectic vision without compromise.
In this modern age, having a dynamic ‘heavy’ ethos does not limit a band’s movement into mainstream possibilities and in an industry where there is no guarantee of anything for the musicians, there is a full guarantee that Lyken21 will deliver. The group has performed live with the bands such as Overkill, WASP, Twisted Sister, KIX, Skid Row, LA Guns, Monster Magnet, A Pale Horse Named Death, 7th Void, Epica, Powerman5000, Jack Russell’s Great White, Faster Pussycats, Stryper, Heretic, and King’s X. This band can easily fill the void with Blackguard, The Agonist, Adrenaline Mob, Trivium and many more looking to melt a few faces off in the future.
After a 3 year gap since there last album, Taboo’s Tyranny, Lyken21 will return soon with their brand new release Cyclical Insight, to be released worldwide via Sliptrick Records in 2019.
