Molded By Broken Hands
, the sixth LP from New York City-based doomed dark metal veterans GREY SKIES FALLEN is now streaming in its epic entirety on the eve of its worldwide release through Profound Lore Records.

GREY SKIES FALLEN is embodied on Molded By Broken Hands by founding guitarist/vocalist Rick Habeeb (Buckshot Facelift, Reeking Aura), guitarist Joe D’angelo (Umbersound), bassist Tom Anderer (Buckshot Facelift, Reeking Aura, ex-Artificial Brain), and drummer Sal Gregory (Buckshot Facelift). The album sees the contingent offering their most triumphant work yet, carrying that feeling of the underappreciated and underrated dark metal scene that was culminating in the US during the late 1990s, an era where the band grew from, while helping to signal a new resurgence of doomy dark metal artistry currently building. Through soaring, emotionally searing melodies, glorious epic harmonics, and with an overall conquering aura, Molded By Broken Hands will finally deliver the recognition GREY SKIES FALLEN is worthy of.

Molded By Broken Hands was recorded and engineered at Menegroth, The Thousand Caves (Krallice, Gorguts, Artificial Brain) by Colin Marston who also performed keyboards on the songs “No Place For Sorrow” and “I Can Hear Your Voice.” The album was mixed and mastered by legendary Swedish producer Dan Swanö (Opeth, Edge Of Sanity, Bloodbath) and completed with artwork and design by Travis Smith (Opeth, Death, Katatonia). The release date of Molded By Broken Hands also coincides with the 25th anniversary of GREY SKIES FALLEN’s debut album, The Fate Of Angels.

Rick Habeeb states, “We felt our last album was our strongest one yet, so this time around we needed to challenge ourselves. With the return of Joe to the band, we took it back to our roots while at the same time expanding on the sound and feel we created on Cold Dead Lands. Kind of taking it to the next level.”

“…a competent and pristine take on the genre they adore…. if you crank it in your headphones and stare into the freezing rain at sunset, the two experiences will mesh perfectly.” – Decibel Magazine

“…an experienced band at the top of their game. Molded By Broken Hands is quality through and through… The band keep going from strength to strength and Molded By Broken Hands is a triumph of skill and passion.” – Wonderbox Metal

“This type of ‘dark metal’ is typically most sincere in the moment, fleeting in fits of passion, but in this case what convinces most is the bigger picture, the complete thought served in the passage guided-through. A delayed-release catharsis and a stunning ride altogether GREY SKIES FALLEN have done well to one-up the already accomplished high point offered by their previous album by honing in on a few different layers of classic traditions where their voice suitably splits the difference in its own right.” – Mystification Zine

“…a soaring collection of dark and doom-laden songs that the band have become renowned for.” – Echoes And Dust

“…GREY SKIES FALLEN have managed to deliver another well balanced and quite diverse release that keeps things interested and the listeners engaged. We particularly enjoy these types of releases that while having a core sound, they keep adding different elements and new ideas to keep it fresh and powerful. 92/100” – Infernal Masquerade
